Sourdough Banana Bread
This is our go-to recipe for banana bread.
1 1/2 c flour
1 t baking powder
1 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
3/4 c sugar
1/4 c brown sugar
1 stick butter, melted and cooled
1 egg, whisked
1 T vanilla bean paste
1/2 c sourdough starter/discard
4 bananas. mashed
Preheat oven 350.
Prepare a 9x5 loaf pan with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl combine all dry ingredients and stir well with a fork.
Set aside.
In a large bowl combine remaining ingredients and mix well with a dough whisk. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Make sure all ingredients are incorporated. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 55-65 minutes or until an inserted toothpick is removed with crumbs but no wet batter.
Cool for 10 minutes before cutting into.
