Sourdough Brownies
Sourdough brownies use a sourdough starter to add a little tanginess to every chocolatey bite. Give it a try and thank me later.
4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
1 stick unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 large eggs, room temperature
1 pinch salt
3/4 cup sourdough starter
Preheat over 350. Line 9x9 pan with parchment.
Roughly chop chocolate and place in bowl.
Slice butter into small pieces and add to chocolate. microwave for 1 minute, stir well. Add 30 second, stir again until all pieces are melted and smooth and all incorporated.
Add sugar, stir well.
Add vanilla, eggs and salt, stir well.
Pour brownie batter into prepared pan and bake for 22-25 minutes or until an inserted toothpick is removed with a few crumbs but not wet batter. Do not overbake.
